Art and matter.
Basel | Switzerland
The Kunstmuseum Basel is unusual in possessing a large collection of works be artists who were active in the region from the XIIIth to the XVIIth century. This is an opportunity to get close to local life in those days by admiring the works of Konrad Witz, Martin Schongauer, Lucas Cranach le Vieux and Mathias Grünewald. The XXth century is not however left aside since the cubists Picasso, Léger and Braque, the German expressionists and others make up the other equally interesting side of this Basel institution.
