Spreading out over more than 5 hectares to the west of Basel, the Schützenmatt park is one of the locals' favorite green lungs.

Created in 1899, it has play areas for children and a bandstand. It figures among the biggest public parks in Basel and is a big success the moment the first rays of spring sunshine arrive.
